Showers and Thunderstorms to End the Workweek

The long trend of unsettled weather is finally coming to an end. Within 48 hours, we will find sunshine and warmer than average temperatures. In the meantime, Friday starts with clouds and  locally dense fog. Come this afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will develop while temperatures will hold in the 50s all day long. Showers and thunderstorms continue into tonight and lows drop into the upper-40s. Saturday starts with cloudiness and a few leftover showers then increasing sunshine from west to east through the afternoon. Saturday tops in the 60s. Mother’s Day Sunday is full of sunshine and highs in the lower-70s, and this lovely weather continues for Monday as well. Tuesday will have increasing clouds late in the day, but conditions will be dry with highs in the mid-70s. Unsettled weather comes back for Wednesday and Thursday as both days will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and highs in the lower-70s.
