Firefighters honored at Celebration of Service

EXETER, R.I. (WLNE) — The 5th Annual Celebration of Service for Rhode Island Firefighters was held in Exeter on Saturday.

The event was attended by firefighters, friends, and family members to both honor the past and current service of fire personnel and to remember those who were lost in the line of duty.

“Today is a moment to reflect on their courage, service, sacrifice, and remember their families, and pay tribute to those who passed,” Sen. Jack Reed said.

Gov. Dan McKee also attended the ceremony.
