WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A Bellingham man has been arrested after being accused of following two women throughout a Woonsocket store Wednesday while masturbating, according to a report from Woonsocket police.

Nader Shah was arrested and charged with disorderly contact Wednesday after the alleged incident at the Burlington store on Diamond Hill Road.

Police were called to the store at approximately 1:11 p.m. for the report of a male following women around the store while masturbating over his pants.

Arriving officers made contact with the two complainants who pointed out the man they said was following them throughout the store.

The subject was identified as Shah, who officers said was holding several items including baby shoes.

When asked what he was doing in the store, Shah reportedly told the officer that he was shopping.

When asked for his identification, Shah stated he had left his wallet in his car.

The officer stated that he observed a small wet spot on the crotch of Shah’s pants.

Shah responded that the spot was sweat from his recent stop at the gym, according to the officer.

No other stains were observed on Shah’s clothing by the officer.

After a second interview with the two complainants, one said in a formal written statement that Shah followed her through multiple sections of the store while masturbating and looking directly at her.

A third person approached the officer and confirmed the complainant’s story.

The second complainant informed officers that she had to leave the store, but would provide her statement at the police station later.

On their way to the police station, Shah reportedly said “I was aroused but I did not intended to do anything.”
