Crash in Middleborough leaves 2 dead
MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Middleborough Fire Department said that two people were killed in a fatal crash that occurred on Interstate 495 on Thursday.
The single vehicle crash occurred near the Cherry Street overpass around 12:30 p.m.
The department said the vehicle was on fire off the side of the road in the woods.
An adult male, who was found outside the vehicle, and an adult female, who was still inside the vehicle, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
No further injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
