16-year-old arrested after shooting in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said that a 16-year-old was taken into custody after a shooting on May 17.

Police said a female victim suffered a gunshot wound to the hip on South Main Street and Slade Street.

She suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene and police alleged they found a a discarded bag containing a loaded Glock 31 in the path he took.

Police said that the juvenile was a person-of-interest in multiple shootings within the city.
