Middletown man wins 2025 APA National Pool Championship

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (WLNE) — The American Poolplayers Association said a Middletown man won a national pool championship held in Las Vegas.
Middletown resident Nathan Sena won the 2025 APA 8-Ball Pool Championship in late April, taking $15,000 back home to Rhode Island.
Sena competed against nearly 6,000 poolplayers across the continent for the chance to take part in the championship, and was one of 883 that advanced to the finals.
APA said Sena competed in the orange tier of the championship, which is the second highest skill level. There were five total tiers.
