Man convicted in 2019 New Bedford teen murder, wounding of second victim, to be sentenced

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A man will be sentenced Thursday for a New Bedford homicide that occurred in October of 2019.

A Bristol County jury convicted Kevin Edwards of murder, assault and battery with a firearm and other firearms-related offenses earlier this month.

This is in connection with the homicide of 17-year old Paul Collazo-Ruiz, and serious injuries to another victim on the scene.

Sentencing will take place Thursday morning in Fall River Superior Court.
