Coventry man arrested on multiple drug charges

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Coventry Police Department said a man was arrested on May 21 on multiple drug charges.
34-year-old Julio Rivera was charged with possession with intent to manufacture and deliver cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine, and possession of testosterone.
Rivera was also charged in West Warwick for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a firearm while delivering a controlled substance, possession of a firearm prohibited, and possession of a stolen firearm and other associated charges.
A search warranted was executed on Flat River Road after a “months long investigation” with assistance from Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives and Department of Corrections personnel.
Police alleged that a search of the residence recovered 117 grams of cocaine, 91 grams of methamphetamine, 20 grams of fentanyl and vials of testosterone, drug cooking equipment, packaging materials, and a “large amount” of cash.
He was ordered held without bail.
