Weekend Weather Looking Better

The nor’easter from Thursday is leaving our area today and the rain and wind will taper off early on. Sunshine will break through the clouds as well but we will still be dealing with flooding. The Pawtuxet River on Cranston and Warwick is expected to crest above flood stage this afternoon and minor flooding will happen. A Flood Warning is in effect for this river through Saturday morning. Weather-wise expect a mix of sun and clouds today with highs in the 50s and a chance of an evening shower. Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast for tonight with lows in the mid-40s. Saturday kicks off the holiday weekend with mostly cloudy skies and the slightest chance of showers. Saturday temps will top out near 60. Sunday is looking dryer with sun and clouds and milder temps closer to 65. Memorial Day Monday will have tons of sunshine and highs of 70. Tuesday is easily the winner of the week with sunny skies and highs near 75. Clouds mix in for Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the lower-70s.
