Three suspects arrested, firearm and drugs seized in Fall River police operation

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police executed several search warrants on the 200 block of Buffinton Street Friday, seeking out three individuals who were ultimately arrested in the operation.
According to Fall River police, Jesus Santana, 22, Evan Januario, 20 and Juliannah Medeiros, 20, were all arrested in the execution of the warrants.
The warrant for Santana was obtained in connection with a May 9 shooting, during which the suspect sustained gunshot wounds.
Major Case detectives and CAST detectives developed probable cause that there was an AR-15 style rifle in the residence, which led to the issuance of the warrants.
All three suspects were present in the residence and were taken into custody.
Investigating officers seized approximately 51 grams of crack cocaine, an AR-style pistol with a ghost gun lower receiver and .223 caliber ammunition.
Detectives secured a confession from Santana regarding his role in the May 9 shooting, according to a statement from Fall River police.
Santana is charged with multiple firearms offenses and attempted assault and battery by firearm stemming from the May 9 incident.
Januario and Medeiros are both charged with trafficking cocaine over 36 grams, possession of a firearm during a felony, unlicensed possession of a large capacity firearm, unlicensed possession of ammunition and additional firearms charges.
