Providence Police investigating hit-and-run crash that sent 1 to the hospital

Providence police are investigating after a hit-and-run crash sent one person to the hospital Sunday night.  (WLNE)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police are investigating after a hit-and-run crash sent one person to the hospital Sunday night.

Around 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a multi-vehicle crash involving a dirt bike at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Candace Street.

At the scene, police discovered the operator of the dirt bike had sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the crash, and was taken to the hospital.

Police said the other vehicle fled after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
