Providence Place Mall scrapping parking price hike after backlash
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Place Mall is tabling its planned parking price increase after negative reaction to the policy.
According to the mall’s co-receiver, the plans to raise parking rates starting June 1 were met with almost immediate backlash from tenants and the community.
He said they’ll go back to the drawing board and come up with something else.
So, all of this now means, parking will still be free at the Providence Place Mall for the first two hours.
