Passion Lounge to remain closed until next Board of Licenses meeting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Board of Licenses has ordered the Passion Lounge to remain closed for another week.

The club was originally closed after a shooting on the property on May 17.

At a meeting on May 22 the board ordered the closure to be extended due to an “ongoing threat to public safety.”

The discussion on the lounge’s future was continued to the next meeting on June 5.
