A Little Bit of Summer
June welcomes the start of meteorological summer and this week’s weather is stepping up to the plate. Sunshine abounds today with high temperatures well above average, topping out near 80 in the interior, near 73 along the coast. The UV index will be very high today making sunblock a must if you’ll be outdoors for more than 15 minutes. The sun keeps shining Wednesday with high temps near 84 inland and 74 along the coast. Thursday will be sunny as well, but humidity will dial up and make the anticipated high of 88 feel like the 90s away from the coast. Ocean-side, highs will top at 78. Friday looks to keep the mugginess around and clouds build in as well. There is a chance of showers starting in the afternoon too. Friday temps will peak at 84. Saturday starts the weekend with clouds and the chance of showers and thunderstorms as well as being muggy. It will be cooler Saturday as highs top near 76. Sunday salvages the weekend with sun and clouds and highs near 75. Monday is looking mostly cloudy with highs near 77.
