Woonsocket bicyclist dies from injuries in Bellingham crash

BELLINGHAM, Mass. (WLNE) —  The Bellingham Police Department said the bicyclist hospitalized after a motor vehicle crash on Monday has died from his injuries.

Police and fire crews responded to South Main Street around 12:45 p.m. on Monday for a motor vehicle crash involving a bicycle.

At the scene, police discovered a bicyclist with “critical injuries.”

The victim, identified as a 60-year-old man from Woonsocket, was taken to Landmark Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver, a juvenile from Sutton, Massachusetts, has been charged with motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.

The crash remains under investigation.
