Franklin PD K-9 and handler locate and help juvenile in mental health crisis
FRANKLIN, Mass. (WLNE) — A new recruit with the Franklin Police Department stopped off for a celebratory snack at a fast food spot after helping a young resident experiencing a mental health crisis.
Franklin PD K-9 Frankie and her handler Officer Gove responded to a call of female juvenile who was experiencing the crisis.
Frankie helped locate the girl who was hiding in a wooded area, according to the Franklin Police Department’s Facebook post.
Gove was able to sit and talk with her while waiting for a clinician to arrive to assist in the situation.
Frankie was treated to a cheeseburger and Frosty from a local Wendy’s for her first official “friendly find.”
