2 displaced after house fire in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Providence Police Department said two people are displaced after a house fire on Wednesday.

Firefighters responded to Thatcher Street around 11 a.m. for a house fire.

The two occupants inside the home were able to evacuate safely with their dog.

Nobody was injured.

The East Providence Fire Department believe the fire started on the second floor of the home.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
