PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WLNE) — A GoFundMe in memory of Kelly Nevitt, the fifteen-year-old killed in a partial building collapse over the weekend, has raised more than $90,000 as of Thursday morning.

The fundraiser is benefiting her family, and describes Nevitt as “a loving daughter, a loyal friend, and a kind soul who brought light and laughter wherever she went.”

Nevitt was attending a graduation party at the Portsmouth Portuguese-American Club when the front steps of the building collapsed, trapping Nevitt and a 17-year old girl.

That girl, whose name has not been released, remains in critical condition.

Two others were taken to the hospital in the incident- one, a 49-year-old woman from Indiana, remains hospitalized with serious injuries, while the other, a 19-year-old woman from Little Compton, has been released from the hospital.
