A dog named Mouse: Abandoned street pup to be sworn in with West Warwick Police Department
WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — From cold West Warwick winter streets to a new gig with the town’s police department, Mouse the K-9/Therapy Dog will be introduced as the newest member of the WWPD Tuesday.
Mouse was discovered roaming West Warwick in February, malnourished and abandoned, and after being taken in was trained to be the first Compassion/Therapy Dog in the history of the West Warwick Police Department.
She will officially join the department’s ranks on June 17 at 6 p.m. to start off the West Warwick Town Council meeting.
