Cranston Police respond to home where grenade was found

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said that it responded to a home on Eric Court on June 11 for a grenade that was found.

Police responded around 3:30 p.m. after receiving a call in which the caller was cleaning his grandfather’s home and found what was believed to be a live grenade.

The Rhode Island Bomb Squad responded to the home and surrounding residences were evacuated.

The grenade was then secured and removed from the home.
