Cumberland police, firefighters make surprise visit to boy fighting leukemia

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — An eight-year-old boy fighting leukemia got a special surprise this weekend, as Cumberland firefighters and police made an appearance at the boys house and delivered gifts and balloons.

The department posted photos to social media showing the boy’s reaction to their visit.

The post read “We wish you all the best and every first responder in our community is behind you.”
