Firefighters rescue worker trapped by metal beam in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was taken to the hospital after he was trapped by a metal beam on Monday, according to a spokesperson for the City of Providence.

Firefighters responded to Royal Little Drive around 1:30 p.m. for reports of a worker trapped by a metal beam.

At the scene, crews found the man and freed him within 30 minutes.

The patient was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
