Active Weather next 48 hours

We have a couple of front coming through Southern New England in the next 48 hours that will bring showers and the chance of thunderstorms. A warm front lifts through today with morning showers, mostly cloudy skies, highs in the upper-70s and muggy humidity levels. There is the chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight tonight and patchy fog develops. Overnight lows drop to 65-70. Thursday starts with patchy locally dense fog. The warm air from the warm front today will settle in for Thursday and high temperatures in the interior will hit the 90s and with the high humidity, will feel like the upper-90s in the early afternoon. Thursday evening we will bring a cold front into these soupy conditions. As a result, we will see likely showers and the chance of thunderstorms, some which may be severe with frequent lightning and damaging winds. Behind the front, a whole new weather trend takes over. Friday will be mostly sunny, warm and comfortable with highs in the lwoer-80s. The Summer Solstice welcomes in the Summer season at 10:41 pm. Saturday will be a lovely day with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures in the mid-80s. Sunday is looking sunny and warm as well with temps topping out near 87. Into next week, we will remain dry with plenty of sunshine. The big concern next week is the temperatures and heat indices. Starting Monday, temperatures will top out into the 90s, but with the humidity, will make it feel hotter than 100.
