Read verdict watch: Jury continues third full day of deliberation
DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Deliberations are set to resume Wednesday morning in the second murder trial of Karen Read.
Deliberations began briefly on Friday, but Wednesday will be the third full day of deliberations for the jury.
Tuesday, the jury sent four questions back to the judge.
Read is facing three charges: second degree murder, vehicular manslaughter while under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident causing death.
Earlier, the jury asked about the charge of operating under the influence, and whether the video clips of reads television interviews can be used as evidence.
The judge told them all media clips are evidence and jurors should give them “whatever weight they choose.”
John O’Keefe’s family went in, then left court Tuesday without any comment.
Read’s father spoke to the media, saying he just wants his daughter free.
Supporters gathered once again outside of the Dedham courtroom.
Deliberations will pick back up Wednesday morning.
