Recent coyote sightings in Barrington lead to police cautioning residents

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Barrington police want to raise awareness in town about several recent coyote sightings.

According to Barrington police, the coyotes haven’t shown any signs of aggression and are not considered a threat, but out of an abundance of caution, they are encouraging residents to take several preemptive steps.

This includes keeping pets on a leash, not leaving food or trash outside and to be careful while driving.
