Former street dog Mouse sworn in as new West Warwick PD therapy dog
WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — In a swearing in ceremony sealed with a paw shake and a treat, the West Warwick Police Department welcomed new K-9 Mouse into the fold as a therapy/compassion dog.
Mouse, who was taken in by the department after being found abandoned on the streets of West Warwick in February, became a full-fledged member of the town PD Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at the beginning of the town council meeting.
Her oath was administered by Town Clerk Sarah Rapose.
