Tiverton home a total loss following Friday morning fire

TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Two people are now without a home following an early morning fire in Tiverton.

The fire happened at a home on Lee Way.

Deputy Fire Chief Josh Ferreira told ABC6 that both residents and their dog were able to get out safely.

When firefighters arrived, there were heavy flames coming from the home and mutual aid was called in to help.

Deputy Chief Ferreira said the house is a total loss.

The two people displaced will be staying with family members in the meantime.

The state and local fire marshal are investigating as well as Tiverton police.
