24-year-old Cranston man dies in North Kingstown motorcycle crash
NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police are investigating an early morning motorcycle crash that left a 24-year-old Cranston man dead.
RISP troopers responded to the crash on Route 4 north in North Kingstown at 2:51 a.m.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Parker Smith, 24, was traveling north on Route 4 and lost control of his motorcycle.
The vehicle struck a Jersey barrier at the Stony Lane overpass and Smith was ejected from the motorcycle.
He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The crash was investigated by RISP, North Kingstown police and East Greenwich police.
