TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The family of Debra Melo was still seeking answers on her whereabouts on the 25th anniversary  of her disappearance.

A vigil was held in Memorial Park on Friday night in remembrance while friends and family still sought new information to help solve the case.

Melo went missing in Taunton on June 20, 2000 after leaving a doctor’s appointment.

“There’s not really anything new and breaking, but there’s constantly community involvement and support that makes other people talk about it,” Debra’s brother-in-law Steve Demoura said. “That’s why we keep doing this. We’re hoping that somebody’s information that they have is going to help us to a new lead. We get things all the time that we as the family will investigate.”

She had two young children.
