East Providence firefighters extinguish blaze at 3-story building

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Providence Fire Department fought a fire at a three-story residential building on Teofilo Braga Way Saturday morning.

The department said residents should avoid the areas of Veterans Memorial Parkway, First Street, and Mauran Avenue until crews cleared out.

Mayor Bob DaSilva said there were “no serious injuries” and all residents were evacuated.
