Mass. state trooper in critical condition after being struck by allegedly stolen motorcycle

REVERE, Mass. (WLNE) — A Massachusetts state trooper is recovering from serious injuries Tuesday morning after being hit by a motorcycle while on duty in Revere.

According to state police, the trooper was outside of his cruiser when he was hit Monday evening launching him approximately 45 feet.

Troopers also believe the motorcycle was stolen.

The trooper is in critical condition at a hospital in Boston.

18-year old Akram Elmoukhtari is being arraigned Tuesday morning on charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and receiving stolen property.
