Fundraiser being held for 17-year-old girl suffering ‘life-altering injuries’ after Portsmouth stairwell collapse

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Hands of Hope Foundation is hosting a fundraiser for a teen girl who was seriously injured in the Portsmouth stairwell collapse.
“All in for Aaron” is raising funds for Aaron Delgado, a 17-year-old who suffered “life-altering injuries” after a stairwell collapsed at the Portuguese American Club on June 7 during a graduation party.
According to the organization, Aaron remains in the ICU and faces a “long and difficult journey that includes extensive rehabilitation, ongoing medical care, and major adjustments to daily life.”
The fundraiser will begin with a motorcycle run at 10 a.m., and continue through the day with music, food, raffles, and vendors from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
It is set to take place on July 20 at the Middletown Fraternal Order of Police Lodge at 474 Mitchell’s Lane.
Hands for Hope asks for a suggested donation of $25 for adults and riders; which would include food and one raffle ticket, and $10 for kids 12 and under.
