Providence Police investigating shooting

Police in Providence have established a crime scene on Branch Avenue Wednesday.  (WLNE)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said detectives are investigating after a shooting on Branch Avenue Wednesday.

According to police, one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

ABC6 News crews on scene reported seeing police tape blocking off two driveways and a portion of the sidewalk.

The shooing remains under investigation.
