Bicyclist dies from motor vehicle crash, Coventry Police say

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Coventry Police Department said a bicyclist was hit and killed in a crash on Wednesday.

Officers responded to Hill Street just before 6 p.m. for reports of a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist.

The adult bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Coventry police said the driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating.

Hill Street at South Pond Drive is closed for investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
