UPDATE: Coventry police release identity of cyclist killed in Wednesday crash

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) —  Coventry police have released the identity of the victim in a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday night.

Jason Marietti, 39, of West Warwick was pronounced deceased at the scene of the Hill Street accident after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the incident remained on scene and cooperated with police.

Hill Street at South Pond Drive closed down during the investigation, which is ongoing by Coventry Police Department accident reconstruction personnel.
