Motorcyclist seriously injured in Swansea crash

SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Saturday night on Route 6 in Swansea.

The Swansea Police Department said the crash happened just after 6 p.m. near Target, with officers arriving to find a motorcycle and a pickup truck had collided.

The motorcycle rider was badly hurt and taken to Rhode Island Hospital with “injuries that appeared to be life-threatening.”

Police said the passenger of the pickup truck was also taken to the hospital with injuries that “did not appear to be life-threatening.”

The driver of the pickup was not evaluated at the scene but not transported.

The crash remains under investigation by police.
