Police establish scene after apparent shootout in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Police set up a scene in Woonsocket Sunday afternoon after what officers said was an apparent shootout.

Police were seen investigating in the area of Crawford Street after multiple individuals exchanged gunfire.

The department said one individual was involved alongside two others on motorcycles.

There were no injuries reported and one person was taken into custody.

Part of the road was also blocked off by cruisers.
