Seekonk Firefighters advising residents of phone scam

SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — Seekonk Firefighters Local 1931 is advising residents to be aware of a phone scam.

According to the union, a scammer has been calling residents and local businesses, claiming to represent Seekonk Firefighters.

In the calls, the scammer has asked for donations for the union.

However, Seekonk Firefighters Local 1931 said it is not hosting any fundraisers at this time.
