Fall River police arrest two in unarmed bank robbery

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Police have arrested two suspects in an unarmed bank robbery that took place at the Troy Street BayCoast Bank location on June 25, according to the Fall River Police Department.

Stephanie Farley, 39, was taken into custody on June 30 and was charged with unarmed robbery, conspiracy and multiple drug-related offenses for which she had to an outstanding warrant.

Keon Hendrix, 35, was arrested the following day and is charged with unarmed robbery, conspiracy, resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer.

Fall River police were called to the bank on the afternoon of June 25 in response to an unarmed robbery.

Major Case Division detectives traced the female suspect’s movements from the bank to a tent in which she was living using area surveillance footage.

During the investigation, the suspect was found to have an accomplice who assisted her in discarding clothing worn during the robbery.

The clothes were recovered from a trash bin by detectives and the suspects were identified as Farley and Hendrix.

When he was located and approached, Hendrix charged at detectives and resisted arrest, resulting in minor injuries to some arresting officers, according to police.
