Firefighters battle multi-family house fire in East Providence
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Firefighters battled a multi-family house fire on Shore Road in East Providence on Wednesday.
According to a spokesperson for the City of East Providence, the fire was contained to the kitchen and was extinguished “quickly.”
One resident was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
The building inspector and State Fire Marshal’s office responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
