RIDOT shifting lane on Route 37 in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said that it will be shifting lanes on a section of Route 37 West in Cranston on July 6.

RIDOT said that the shift was part of the Cranston Canyon/Route 37 Bridges project to reconstruct the bridge carrying Route 37 over Oaklawn Avenue

The new configuration will feature one lane to the right for Interstate 295 North exit and one lane to the left to continue on Route 37 West that both work like traditional off-ramps.

The lane shift will be in place for the rest of the summer.

More information on road projects can be found here.
