Body camera footage shows initial police response to shots fired at Garden City Center

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Police body camera footage obtained by ABC6 News provides a better look at the moments officers arrived to a report of shots fired at the Garden City Center Wednesday.
The footage was released following a public records request.
It shows Cranston police officers arriving on scene and confirming that nobody was hit by gunfire.
Officers are then seen consulting with witnesses and Garden City Center staff about the suspect vehicle description.
Cranston police Colonel Michael Winquist said Wednesday that five shots were fired at a man leaving the LA Fitness gym.
Winquist said the shooting was targeted.

The bodycam footage also shows police speaking with the intended target.
An officer is also seen in the footage locating shell casings in front of the LA Fitness.
On Thursday, the two men arrested in connection with the case appeared in court for arraignment.
Bail was set at $100,000 for both Andres Pizarro, 21, and Andre Ross, 31, on the charges brought by the Cranston Police Department.
