Police: Shoplifting suspects arrested with over $100,000 in merchandise

BERKLEY, Mass. (WLNE) — Berkley police arrested a husband and wife who were accused of shoplifting over $100,000 of merchandise.
Di DiPinto and Beverly DiPinto, both of Berkley, were arrested on Thursday after an investigation involving the Berkley Police Department and Newport Police Department.
Most recently, the Newport Police Department said it caught the two stealing $471 worth of items from Team One Newport.
Police said both suspects also had shoplifting warrants from the Cranston and Warwick Police Departments.
According to the Newport Police Department, detectives are currently in the process of returning merchandise stolen back to the stores that it was taken from.
Both DiPintos have been arraigned in Taunton District Court.
