1 hurt after tractor trailer veered off Route 24 and crashed into trees in Berkley

BERKLEY, Mass. (WLNE) — The Berkley Fire Department said one person was taken to the hospital after a tractor trailer veered off the highway and crashed into the woods on Monday.

Firefighters responded to Route 24 South at mile marker 15.4 to find a tractor trailer in the woods.

One person was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be freed.

They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Crews shut down at least one lane as the crash was under investigation.
