76-year-old died after falling into water in Swansea

SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE) — Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III released the identity of an 76-year-old man who died after falling into the water at Swansea Town Beach on June 20.

Clemente Farias was pulled from the water and was found to be unresponsive.

He was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Quinn said that the incident was a possible “medical episode,” and there was no evidence of foul play.
