Injured red-tailed hawk rescued by Good Samaritans and Mass. state troopers

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — Some good Samaritans and Massachusetts State Police troopers came to the rescue of an injured red-tailed hawk Thursday, according to a social media post from the North Attleborough Animal Shelter.

The bird was tended to by the passers-by and troopers until Animal Control was able to arrive and take care of the hawk.

The hawk was first observed injured on the side of the highway unable to fly.

New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth is now treating the big bird.
