Brockton man, Johnston woman accused of ‘repeated retail theft’

CHELMSFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Chelmsford Police Department said that a Brockton man and a Johnston woman were charged in connection with repeated retail thefts at a local store.
54-year-old John Grogan was charged with larceny over $1,200 by false pretenses.
44-year-old Dara Iantuono was charged with organized retail crime and accessory before the fact of larceny over $1,200.
The two were arrested for allegedly making fraudulent returns with fake receipts at the TJ Maxx on Chelmsford Street during the months of April, May, June, and July.
They were both arrested on July 10 when Grogan allegedly attempted to make a return using a fraudulent receipt for a $2,508 transaction while Iantuono waited in a vehicle.
