15-year-old on e-bike suffers serious injuries in Falmouth car crash
FALMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — A 15-year-old Falmouth resident suffered serious injuries Tuesday after being struck by a car while riding an electric bicycle, according to the Falmouth Police Department.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:34 p.m. at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Central Park Avenue where Falmouth fire and police personnel located the teenage male conscious.
The teenager was first transported to Falmouth Hospital, and he was later airlifted by MedFlight to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
According to witness statements, both the teenager and the vehicle operator failed to stop at the four-way intersection.
The teenager is in stable condition at this time.
