McKee signs off on free 36th Annual Governor’s Bay Day services

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Governor Dan McKee was at Rocky Point State Park Wednesday morning to sign an executive order making this Sunday the 36th Annual Governor’s Bay Day.

The annual initiative encourages Ocean State residents to get outside and enjoy the natural attractions Rhode Island offers at its shores.

After the governor’s order, all beach bound RIPTA buses will have free fare, and all state beaches will have free parking.

If casting a lure is more your speed, you’re in luck, as saltwater fishing without a recreational fishing license will be allowed from Friday through Sunday.
