Roger Williams Park Zoo welcomes 2 new donkeys

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Roger Williams Park Zoo has welcomed the addition of two new female donkeys.

1-year-old Nermal and 2-year-old Maureen joined the zoo’s barn on Monday.

The zoo said the inside of the barn will be closed as the donkeys get comfortable with their new space and the other animals in the farmyard.

Additionally, the zoo said it is reminding visitors to “be gentle and mindful when interacting with them.”
